AMY’S STORY
12 distinctions and 1 merit:
One step closer to my goal!
I started at InHealth in November 2009 as a Radiographic Assistant with no previous healthcare experience. I fell in love with the job and found it incredibly rewarding. After returning from maternity leave, I wanted a new challenge that would enhance my academic skills for undertaking a healthcare degree, so I started the Access to HE Diploma Science in May 2019.
I chose the Biophysical pathway, as I aspire to be a Radiographer and to get a place at Exeter University, it required me to obtain an A level or Access course in Science or a healthcare equivalent. Luckily, the opportunity to do the degree apprenticeship arose at InHealth. Having 2 young children, this course provided the flexibility to complete it at my own pace, allowing me to fit around my work and home life. I have now completed the course with 12 distinctions and 1 merit and am starting my degree in March!
